Bama-Q” is a 30-minute TV show that follows members of the Alabama Barbecue Association (Pro and Backyard Divisions) as they compete against the best of the best BBQ teams from all over the US. Come hang out with us and get a peek into competition BBQ and what it’s really like on the BBQ circuit in the Southeast. This 13-episode series is packed with fun times among good friends that each have a fiercely competitive nature with a desire to win their next Grand Championship.

While many things are temporarily shutting down or on hold, we're working to keep you cooking in the kitchen. Join our first ever Virtual Cooking Competition. Our category for this contest is Steak - Cooked Medium. Entries will be judged on Doneness, Appearance/Texture and Presentation.
You can participate from the comfort of your own home and best of all ... Proceeds from registration will be used to offer aid to food service industry companies across the country that are economically impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The winner of The Cooking With Bama-Q Virtual Competition will have the honor to choose, from a provided list, who will receive the donated aid.

Bama-Q covers all the action as the Pitmasters prep, spice, sauce, cook and turn in their chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. Barbecue is a bit of a science and viewers get to see these dueling chefs apply different methods along the way to achieve the perfect meat. The cooks talk about what they’re doing and why giving viewers a good understanding of their methodology and providing tips for improving their own barbecue process at home. The Bama-Q pros love to compete and part of that is having fun. We capture the jokes, pranks and trash-talking that goes on behind the scenes. We also cover the awards ceremony so everyone finds out who wins!
